Notes for ARTHUR AUGUSTAS MANNING:
Arthur A. Manning was a roust-a-bout for a circus, so he traveled with the circus until he got to Mississippi where he met and
married Pirley Andrew West on 20 Feb 1898 in Holly Springs, Marshall Co., Mississippi. They had their first four children there
between 1899 and 1902. In 1902 they had twin girls who didn't live very long. The girls were named Ada and Ophelia. One child died
shortly after birth and is buried in Marshall Co., MS, (where is unknown). The other child lived 14 days and is buried in Memphis, Shelby Co., TN.
