Hannah A .Yost, daughter of Elias and Kiziah Yost. Born in Short Creek Township, Harrison Co., OH
Married William Sloan (son of Samuel and Mary J. [Henderson] Sloan of Harrisville, OH) on 03 Jan 1867 in Harrison Co., OH
Mother of 7 children, 6 of whom perished with her in a tragic fire in East Liverpool OH. William and a daughter Kate escaped the fire. William brought the family remains back to Harrison Co. to be buried in Olive Branch Cemetery.
Also killed in the fire was Wilmer Skeeles who married William's sister Amanda H. Sloan.

"My great great Grandfather was William Sloan of Belmont co., Ohio (son of Samuel Sloan and Mary Jane Henderson). He had a sister Amanda who I am trying to trace. Ages ago I found an IGI entry for a marriage of an Amanda Sloan and Wilmer Skeeles but have never been able to confirm if this was indeed my Amanda.
I find Wilmer and Amanda [SKULL] in the 1880 census living next door to Samuel Moore Sloan, brother to William and Amanda so I am guessing this is my Amanda. I also find in earlier census records Wilmer, son of Joshua Skeeles/Skeels/Scheles."
