      "Elizabeth lived her life on the Islands of the low country of South Carolina. In the later years of her life she lived near her sisters LIela and Lillie in a small home near Toogoodoo Road. Her grandchildren "Ned and Lou" spent many days with her in the country and roamed the country roads, particularly the "Anavista" which at the time was the dirt road that ran down to the "sands" of the Toogoodoo River."       Notes for CLARENCE FRANK HETHINGTON:
      "Clarence "CF" Frank Hethington was killed in 1938 on Market Street in Charleston S.C. when a tornado struck the old market area at Market and Meeting Street. Five tornados hit Charleston that day and killed many of Charleston's citizens. Frank and William were at the market conducting business. William told me (Edward Hethington, Jr.) that his father had sent him to buy a pack of cigarettes at the time the Tornado hit the market. That trip saved his life that day. The event is recorded in the Charleston newspapers of that day and in the City of Charleston annual report that list the victims names." Edward LaRoche "Ned" Hethington
