      Dorman L. Chasteen, Jr.:
      Chastain, William (2-Pierre, Jr., 1-Pierre), PCD, vol. 1, page 37. Served as County Lieutenant of Second Battalion of Militia in the Revolutionary War. A record exists regarding his promotion from Ensign of Second Brigade. Possibly served earlier in the Indian War. Not listed at DAR. He died around 1790 born around 1740 so did not get listed in DAR. His son is Robert Ransom Chastain born 1770 and his son is John Chastain. His son is Robert Ransom Chastain (again) (1834 died 1884). His son is Wiliam Clark Chastain/Chasteen(suspect grandfather or ggf was Wm Clark (1866-1934)). His son was Columbus Clark Chasteen (1897-1932). His son was Dorman Chasteen, Sr. (1921-2009).

      LEWISVILLE, Texas — Dorman L. Chasteen
      May 15, 1921 — Nov. 19, 2009
      LEWISVILLE, Texas — Dorman L. Chasteen, age 88, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 at Medical Center of Lewisville.
      Dorman was born, May 15, 1921 in Duncan, to Columbus Clark and Donnie Mae Havens Chasteen.
      He married Betty Sue Chasteen February 5, 1946, who preceded him in death. Dorman served in the Army, Navy, Marines and was also a Mason.

      The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 20th at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. They will receive their friends in Oklahoma at Grantham Funeral Home, 1502 N. Hwy 81, in Ardmore, from 3-8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, and from 1-8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 22. A funeral service will be held, 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 23, 2009.
      Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
