  ******** Source: Janice McAlpine: Mary Francis Moody was the daughter of Edward Moody of Essex and Albemarle Co., Virginia. She was born abt. 1740-45 probably in Goochland or Albemarle Co., Virginia. She married Robert Lilly 1759-1763 in Albemarle Co., Virginia. Robert Lily was on later records with at least two of Edward Moody's sons, John and Edmund. Robert Moody, who sometimes is erroneously listed as Mary Moody's father, moved his entire family to North Carolina in 1749, well before Mary married Robert Lilly. Robert Moody and Edward Moody are DNA matches, so they might have been brothers, but EDWARD, not Robert, was the father of Mary Frances Moody Lilly. (Janice McAlpine: Robert and Ann Moody of Bristol Parish, Prince George Co., Virginia, did have a daughter Frances, but she died November 1732, in Bristol Parish, Prince George Co., Virginia.
