      Melissa Hennigar Parrish:
Melissa Hennigar Parrish's research of the Ault and Shriner families and research involving the relationship of Sarah Ann Ault to John Zentmyre was done in conjunction with Jane Hooper Smith.
"John Zentmyre, who married Sarah Ann Ault was the son of John Zentmyre and Elenor "Nellie" Shriner. Elenor "Nellie Shriner had a brother, John Shriner Jr. who married Jane Reed. Their son Isaac Shriner married Peninah Jane Ault, sister to the Sarah Ann Ault who married John Zentmyre Jr. So John Zentmyre Jr. and Isaac Shriner were first cousins and the two of them married sisters. The Zentmyres and Aults must have met over in Ohio, probably Montgomery or Darke County. When William Ault first settled in Indiana (Cass County) around 1855 his daughter Sarah and John Zentmyre were probably already married. I have not however found their marriage record in either Ohio or Indiana. William Ault was a United Brethren minister and he and some of his sons helped to start the first United Brethren Church in Galveston, Cass Co., Indiana in 1856.
In the 1860's, William and Susan Ault moved to Tippecanoe County. Their son Jacob and his new wife, Rachel also made the move as did the minor children in William's household. Sons Noah and Frederick stayed in Cass county and daughter Sarah Zentmyre was living in White County I believe. William and his family first settled in Wabash Township of Tippecanoe County close to Fort Ouiatenon. This is where they were living when Peninah Jane married Isaac Shriner in 1866. Both Isaac and Peninah Ault Shriner are buried in the Sand Ridge Cemetery Sand Ridge Cemetery across the road from the fort along with his parents and many siblings.
By 1870 William and Susan had moved to Washington Township of Tippecanoe County, close to or even in the village of Transitville, now called Buck Creek."
