She was born in New York City, the daughter of the late Beatrice and Gabriel Dreyfuss. Mrs. Berry was a Registered Nurse at St. Luke's Hospital in New York City in the 1940's. Later, she became a Promotion Manager with Milliken Company in Spartanburg, SC. She was a member of the Washington, D.C. Women's Advertising Club and The New York Fashion Group. Mrs. Berry resided on Hilton Head Island from 1970 until 2001, living in Sea Pines Plantation, Moss Creek Plantation, and The Cypress Community. She was a member of the Hilton Head Island Institute of the Arts, the Hilton Head Island Republican Club, and a volunteer for the Hilton Head Island Hospital. In 2001, Mrs. Berry moved to Greenville to be near her children. [Survivors omitted.] A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 15, 2009, in the Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with visitation prior to the service from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to John Knox Presbyterian Church, 35 Shannon Drive, Greenville, SC 29615 or to McCall Hospice House, 1836 West Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680. Source: Saralee Mollo: Beatrice Marie Dreyfuss (1920-2009) married Linton Grier Ray, Jr., with whom she had children. She married Gordon Berry in later life, and they had no children together. Linton Grier Ray, Jr. was born 1/23/17 in Washington, Ga. and died 8/7/96 in Westport, Ct.
