She lived her life as a devoted Christian wife, mother and grandmother. She was employed as a cashier for several food stores when not being a loving mother to her children. Myrtie was a devoted and faithful Christian, serving as a teacher and other auxiliaries in her church. She faithfully supported different charities and, along with her husband, delivered “Meals on Wheels” for many years. She enjoyed fishing, golfing, sewing and cooking and looked forward to hosting yearly family reunions. Her ministry and benevolence reached all of her neighbors and she was always ready to serve as needed. Special thank you to Silsbee Convalescent Center and to her caretaker, Sonja Cowart and River City Hospice Care. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter Raymond Crutchfield, daughter, Julia Denice Williams, son, Ottice Van Irvin, parents, John and Mary Smith, great grandson, Micah Williams, siblings, Barney Smith, Donnis Smith and Merton Smith. [SURVIVORS OMITTED] The funeral service is scheduled for 11am Monday, May 4, 2015 at Magnolia Assembly of God in Port Neches, Texas officiated by Reverend Brent Williams. Interment will follow at 3pm at Tanner Cemetery in Burkeville, Texas. Serving as pallbearers are Joel M.
