He was trained for the Ski Patrol. A minister for many years he also was a LVN and worked at Fort Polk, Louisiana. He was a 1947 graduate from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors Degree in Music. And even though he had a degree in music, he played his piano, accordian and violin by ear. He had a beautiful voice and often sang as he played in church.
