Pictured is the first home that James and Arena Shiverdecker owned. It burned down after James' death in 1942, and a second home was rebuilt on the same site. Rev. J. R. Lacy was in charge of the service and burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Shiverdeck, 88 years old, known by many as Aunt Rena, died Sunday at her home. She was born June 29, 1873 in this county (Bollinger County, MO) near Zalma and had a resident of this county most of her life. She married James W. Shiverdeck in 1895 and he died October 1, 1942.
