 | Morgan, William Curtis: Muster-Out Document of William Curtis Morgan (1834-1868) This Muster-Out Document comes from the Don Coatney Archives. W.C. Morgan enlisted in the 53rd Regiment of the Indiana Volunteers, March 1, 1862.
W.C. Morgan was captured by the Rebels on July 22, 1864 and was released on parole February 27, 1865 and discharged out of the service June 14, 1865. Also from the Coatney Archives, via the National Archives, comes the following information:
William Curtis Morgan died in 1868 of diseases he contacted while he was a prisoner of war at Andersonville POW camp in Georgia.
