Mrs. Maxine Genevieve Surbaugh, age 89 of The Landmark Center in Stuart passed away Saturday morning at the RJR Patrick County Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 1, 1917 in Hansford, WV to the late O.G. Tony and Mamie Casey Tony.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Surbaugh, Sr., and several brothers and sisters.
She was a Postmistress in Hansford, WV.

Maxine Toney Surbaugh, 89, died Aug. 18, 2007, in Stuart, Va., after a short illness.
She was born and lived most of her life in Hansford, W.Va.
Maxine “Bob” was a graduate of East Bank High School and was retired from the United States Postal Service, Hansford.
The daughter of Orville G. and Mamie Casey Toney, Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Orville G. Toney Jr.; her sister, Emma Toney Reckard Roberts; and her husband, Frederick Hill Surbaugh.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, in Montgomery Memorial Park, London, W.Va., with the Rev. Stanley Holmes of Good Shephard Episcopal Church officiating.

Warren H. Kincaid
Warren Howard Kincaid, 89, a resident of Regency Place, Scott Depot, formerly of Hansford, died October 27, 2002, in CAMC General Hospital after a short illness.
He was born September 5, 1913, a son of the late Emory Dale and Clara Matics Kincaid. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bowers Kincaid, sister, Margaret Kincaid Atkins, and brother, Ray Kincaid.
He was an Episcopalian, a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Hansford, where he served as a lay reader, warden and vestryman. He was a graduate of Gauley Bridge High School and attended New River State College, now the WVU Institute of Technology. He was retired Union Carbide, Alloy. He was a past master of Coal Valley Lodge 74, Montgomery. He was also a member of Rouyal [should be Royal] Arch Masons Montgomery Chapter 47 and Order of the Eastern Star Kanawha Chapter 38.

Born May 18, 1946, at Clear Creek, WV, he was the son of the late James Franklin Treadway and Bernice Taylor Yost and Step-Father Roy Yost. James was a retired coal miner and farmer. He was employed by the Westmoreland Coal Company and he was a member of the UMWA and Local Union #5770. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Faye Stover Taylor, and one brother, Eddie Taylor. SURVIVORS OMITTED.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the Ewing Creek Community Church on Toneys Fork Road in Clear Creek, WV, with Rev. Johnny Taylor and Timothy Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery at Workman’s Creek. Friends may call from 12:00 PM until time of services at the church. Mary Ethel Ellis
Mary was born on March 14, 1934 and passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2008.
Mary was a resident of Sabine, West Virginia at the time of her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy.
Service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with Pastor Youel Altizer and the Rev. Loretta Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery at Workman?s Creek. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Addie Clotiel Taylor Stover, 75 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 18th, 2013 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley following a long illness. She resided on Clear Fork Road in Beckley. Addie was born July 6th, 1937 at Clear Creek. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Taylor and Maude Pearl Toney Taylor.
Addie was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Jackson Stover and her three sisters, Arlenah Powers, Bernice Yost and Mary Ellis; four brothers, Claude Taylor, John (Totsie) Taylor, Carvel Taylor and Donald Taylor.
Mrs. Stover was the last member of her immediate family. She was a retired employee of Pinecrest Hospital in Beckley. Mrs. Stover was a member of the Ewing Creek Church of Pentecostal faith.
(SURVIVORS OMITTED)
Services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2013 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Loretta Taylor and Reverend Rebecca Maynor officiating; songs by Erma Taylor.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family Thursday from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home.
