HE WAS A VETERAN OF THE CIVIL WAR, HAVING SERVED DURING THE ENTIRE WAR, PART OF THE TIME IN COMPANY G, 126TH REGIMENT, PENNSYLVANIA INFANTRY AND PART IN COMPANY D, 21ST PENNSYLVANIA CAVALRY. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE COLONEL HOUSUM POST, NO. 309, G. A. R. AND SERVED AS COMMANDER FOR THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS.
