Elmer Ellsworth Mitchell of Versailles, MO, in a personal letter to Goldia Mae Robbins Barton, dated March 28, 1962:
Harmon and Martha Skeel Belch moved to a farm north east of Austin, IN in 1838 or 1839.
Harmon Belch died of pneumonia and is buried at Wesley Chapel M.E. Church Cemetery which is located 2 1/4 miles east and 2 3/4 miles north of Austin, Scott County, IN.
Marriage Notes for MARTHA SKEELS and HARMON BELCH:
Mr. & Mrs. Harmon Belch were married in Ohio and later about 1838 or 1839 they moved to a farm northeast of Austin, Indiana. They were parents of 14 children, 11 sons, and 3 daughters. Both were buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
