Obituary:
John Edwin Clark was a rice grader. He was called Don (at least since grade school). He and his birth family moved to Lake Arthur in 1911 and moved to Jennings in 1928. He belonged to the Jennings fire department, and all his pall bearers were also members of the fire department.

The family story is that John Edwin "Uncle Don" Clark's younger brother Charles "Russell" "Rus" Clark couldn't say John when he was very small and called John Edwin "Don." John Edwin was called Don throughout his life.
