      Birth & death dates (January 2, 1798-June 29, 1890). These dates don't jibe with the census. The census would suggest that Mary Foster Porter was deceased by 1860. However, Margaret Lillian Porter (Dec. 2, 1891/ April 2, 1990) may have known her grandmother was alive at Margaret's birth and therefore stated that fact.
      The Fosters originally came from England.
