Carl Clifton Shivertaker
Mr. Carl Clifton Shivertaker, 87, of Orange Park, Fla., formerly of Cross Lanes, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, Ky.
He was retired from Union Carbide's Institute Plant with 38 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army 150th Regiment.
He was a longtime member of Cross Lanes United Methodist Church, Cross Lanes.

CARL CLIFTON SHIVERTAKER
SHIVERTAKER Mr. Carl Clifton Shivertaker, age 87, of Orange Park, FL, formerly of Cross Lanes, WV., died Tuesday December 6, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY. He was retired from Union Carbide, Institute Plant, with 38 years of service. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army 150th regiment. He was a long time member of Cross Lanes Untied Methodist Church, Cross Lanes. SURVIVORS OMITTED. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 10, 2005 at Cross Lanes United Methodist Church at 11:00 am with Deacon Mr. J.F. Lacaria officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church. The family is requesting, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cross Lanes UMC Building Fund. Bartlett Burdette Cox Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
