He was born April 7, 1908 at Cascade, MO (Wayne County), son the the late Christina Swezzy and James W. "Bud" Shiverdeck. On May 4, 1934 he was united in marriage to Winnie H. Talley and she preceded him in death on February 3, 1997. He was a retired farmer and timber worker and attended the Grassy Friendship General Baptist Church. Survivors include: five sons (NAMES OMITTED); two daughters, (NAME OMITTED) and Ruth Barnes of Grassy; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was 1 son (George Shiverdeck), 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 grandsons and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, December 2, 1998 at the Friendship General Baptist Church at Grassy. Rev. Gene Robbins officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
