Watts, 87 of Moss Point, MS went to be with her Lord Friday, February 4, 2011 in Pascagoula, MS. She was born December 16, 1923 in Pascagoula, MS. She was a member of First Baptist Church SBC Moss Point, charter member of Griffin St. Baptist Church in Moss Point, MS, where she served as church clerk for 31 years. She participated in ministry by performing as Minnie Pearl for Senior Adult meetings, Old Settlers Day, and banquets in several states for many years. Dorris was a devoted Christian mother who set the example of faith, compassion, and service to all she met. She will be missed in the community as one who remained faithful to her Lord, her family, and her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifton Gerald Watts, Sr., parents William D. and Effie J. Firth; one child Clifton G. Watts. Jr., one brother Stova Firth, and one sister Elma (Ray) Russell. (Donna Forney Clark: SURVIVORS OMITTED) Visitation for Mrs. Watts will be Monday, February 7, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church SBC Moss Point, MS. Funeral Services will be immediately following starting at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Heritage Funeral Home, in Escatawpa, MS is in charge of arrangements.
