He was a native of Greencastle, Pa., and had been a resident of Fort Pierce and Baltimore, Md. Mr. Pentz was a teacher. He received his bachelor of science degree at Ryder College, NJ and a master's degree at the University of Georgia. He taught history for two years in Athens, Ga.; 10 years at Brooklyn Park High School, Baltimore, Md.; and 10 years as associate professor of psychology at what was then Indian River Junior College, Fort Pierce. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Mr. Pentz also was a member of the Church of the Apostle in Lancaster, Pa.
