She was preceded in death by parents, Asa Milton Waldrip and Vida Martha Roberts; sister, Mary Louise Johnson; brother, Edmund Asa Waldrip; husband, Wesley Burton Haggard, a retired U.S. Navy veteran; former spouse, Norvel Lloyd Patton. (SURVIVORS OMITTED) Mrs. Haggard was a 1940 graduate of Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans and Stephens College in 1976. She retired in 1982 from the VA Hospital in New Orleans and then continued working as a psychiatric nurse, her preferred specialty. She was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church, Mechanicsville. Final arrangements made through the Cremation Society of Virginia.
