She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1934.In 1938, she married the late Paul Barton, and they divorced.She worked as a secretary for International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades for 24 years before retiring.She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, where she was involved in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and St. James Young at Heart. She was active in AARP. She enjoyed walking, reading and the Senior Olympics.(Donna Forney Clark: SURVIVORS OMITTED) She was preceded in death by 5 brothers.Services will be held on Monday, April 4, at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church with Pastor David French officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, University Lutheran Church, or donor's charity of choice in memory of Margaret.
