She was a graduate of Martinsburg High School. Elsie worked as a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband,William Roy Disert; two sisters, Betty Devore, Martha Hopkins; three brothers, John Knighten, Buck Knighten, Bill Knighten; and two grandsons.
