We learned of more deaths of the same manner in my grandmother's (Rilla Selena (twin) Morris Toney) sister's family." Bryan E. Lance, Sr. is the biological father of Steven Marquis "Steve" Lance (1962-2019) and David Richard Lance (1969-2014). Their Lance grandparents are William J. and Margaret Marquis Lance. Their dad is James H. Wood (1935-2018). He was born in Charleston, West Virginia on January 24, 1962 to Bud Lance and Mary Jane Wood (nee Vandale). Steve is survived by his beloved mother, Mary Jane Wood; (SURVIVORS OMITTED). He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nanny and Honey Vandale (DFC: Frank Doyle Vandale and Phyllis Alberta Toney Vandale); Grandma and Grandpa Lance (DFC: William J. Lance and Margaret Marquis Lance); brother, David Lance; nephew, Randy Irwin; dad, James H. Wood. Steve was a diehard Reds and Bengals fan. He loved music and enjoyed entertaining everyone. He nicknamed his grandchildren "Dudettes" and insisted that they called him "Dude". Funeral Ceremony will be at 4:00 pm Monday, January 6, 2020 with a visitation from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
