      Carole, 80, Lima, died at 5:15 p.m., at the Kindred Hospital.She was the daughter of Benjamin and Romaine (Agnew) Weiler. She was raised by her mother and her step-father, Ervin F. Hyman Sr., who she affectionately called "Papa".

      On Jan 18, 1953, she married Franklin Lewis "Chief" Catlett, who preceded her in death.

      Deceased are a brother, Ervin F. "Frankie" Hayman, Jr; a sister, Marilynn (William) Hupfer; and three brothers-in-law: David (Joyce) Catlett, Joseph A. LaManna and Donald A. Moyer Sr.

      She was raised in Lorain, and then moved to Lima in 1949 and was a 1952 graduate of Lima Central High School. After high school she married and was focused on raising her family. She had been a member of the PTA and also a room mother while her children were in school. Once her children were raised she took a position with International Brake Industries in 1979 and worked there until she retired in 1995.

      Carole was a member of the Family of Faith United Methodist Church (formerly Epworth UMC) since 1949. Within the church, she had served as an "Acolyte Mother", vacation bible school teacher and also a member of the choir. She was a former member of the FOP Auxiliary in Lima and was very supportive of her husband's career. Carole enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States and attended his many professional law enforcement meetings and conventions and most recently with her children throughout Ohio.

      She loved to crochet afghans for her family and friends and when she was younger she liked to swim and dive. Carole also loved to cook and take care of her pets. She will be remembered as a very loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for having a big heart and always gave of herself whenever someone was in need.Funeral Services will be at the Family of Faith United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jim Loescher officiating.
