Obituary
Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Judith Ann (Redmon) Newberry, age 72 will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Cookeville City Cemetery. (SURVIVOR'S NAME OMITTED) her son in law, will officiate.
Judith died Friday November 12, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 28, 1949 in Independence, Missouri to the late Edward and Vera Louise Redmon.
Judith had a friendly and outgoing nature, she loved to laugh and carry on a good conversation. She loved to wear all different kinds of hats, but a grey fedora was her favorite. She was very proud of the top score she received the year she took the GED. She will be remembered for her good cooking skills and made a really great green chili, biscuits and chocolate gravy, and homemade chex mix at Christmas. She loved to garden and was very good with plants. She spent most warm days in the summer tending her tomato plants at Mabry Health Care. Judith also loved glittery nail polish, Whitt's BBQ ribs, Diet Pepsi, good music, reading and playing bingo. The last few months of her life she wore a multicolored Jesus bracelet and enjoyed watching Joel Osteen on Sunday mornings. She loved her family and friends and was very proud of how tall her grandchildren were. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Roger Peterson.
