Mrs. Shelor was preceded in death by her mother and father, Kate Givens Light and Wilfred Light. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and active in the church community. Edie had volunteered at Community Hospital for 34 years as well as helping in the Discovery Shop. S SURVIVORS OMITTED. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Temeles and his dedicated staff of caring professionals at Roanoke Rehab Third Floor and to Edie's many, many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2720 Enterprice Parkway, Suite 107, Richmond, VA 23230. A Requiem Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2007 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Thomas Miller officiating. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Light in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2007 and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2007 with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday at Oakey's South Chapel, 989-3131.
