David R. Clark, M.D.: Obituary of Rebecca McFerren Disert (Located with the help of Larry Calimer at Kittochtinny Historical Society in Chambersburg, PA):
Mrs. Rebecca Disert died at the home of her son W. N. Disert (526?) East Queen street, on Friday, June 27 at 3:15 p.m. after a lingering illness. She is survived by the following children: Harry of Iowa City, Iowa; W. N. of Chambersburg; C. E. of Bristol, Colorado; Miss May and Miss Nan of Chester, Pa.; Mrs. John Kirk of New Franklin; Miss Nell now in the Philippine Islands.
The funeral services will be held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Kirk, of New Franklin, on Monday afternoon at 2:30. Interment at Grindstonehill cemetery. [Chambersburg, Franklin Co., PA]
