Obituary:
ZEARS Edith McCroskey, 103, longtime resident of Oklahoma City, died in Colorado Springs on May 31, 1993. Born in Springview, Ne., Jan. 12, 1890. Mrs. Zears came to Okla. in a covered wagon with her parents and several brothers and sisters in 1895.
The family lived in Yale and later in Stillwater where she met and married Charles R. Zears (deceased). They moved to Okla. City in 1922. She taught business courses at Okla. A&M and Hill's Business Colleges, was a member of the Needlework Guild of America, the Holisso Study Club, and MacDowell Club of Allied Arts. She was a devoted member of Penn Ave. Methodist Church for many years until she left Okla. City.
Survivors include two brothers, H.T. McCroskey of Sherman, Tx. and Ira B. McCroskey of Ponca City, Ok.; and many nieces and nephews and their families. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Penn Ave. Methodist Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. BIOG: NAME:
