He was the son of Martin Luther, grandson of Philip, and great-grandson of Jacob, the German immigrant that arrived in this country in 1789. Ira was married twice. His first wife died in about 1919. He then married Ann (or Anna) Franklin from Virginia. I am the son of Everett and we left Charleston for Fairmont in 1930. [TEXT OMITTED] Ira's daughter Minnie and a son John from Marmet, WV, came from the union with Ann. Everett, Inez, Alma Mcpherson, Thelma Cox (from Kentucky) were from the first union, making Minnie and John half-sister and brother. [TEXT OMITTED], Everett passing away in 1989.
