Important contributors to Section II of the above text were: Hazel Brown McCollough & Mrs. J. Harry Kidwell & Mrs. Edmund Schafer & Col. Mortimer Bennet. Kenton M. Kidd organized and compiled the combined three book edition of Skeels Family History 1720-1980. Part of the earlier books were set in type at South Side Press by Wayne Favinger, aged 15 yrs.       Skeels Susanna (Turner), relict of William Skeels, deceased, died at the home of her son-in-law, Henry Brown, near Albion, February 26, 1888, aged 75 years 11 months and 26 days. She was born on the Brandywine near the site of the Revolutionary battle, on February 29, 1812. She moved to Ohio when a child. She married William Skeels in 1831 and they came to Noble County in 1843. In 1871-2 they removed to Cloud County, Kansas, where in April 1885, the husband died at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 17 days. The widow returned to be near and with her children. She leaves 7 children, Sarah, wife of William Storey, Rebecca, wife of Henry L. Brown, Rachel, wife of William C. Arthur, Mary, wife of John N. Busz, Elizabeth, wife of George W. Roof, David and William Skeels; and several grand and great-grandchildren. Funeral Tuesday. Burial, Albion cemetery. Democrat 2-29-1888
