Isabell McCroskey
Isabell McCroskey, 89, of Stillwater, died on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, in Stillwater. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dr. Tim Walker officiating. The family will greet friends from 7 until 9 p.m. on Thursday in Strode Funeral Home. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on March 11, 1919, in Fall River, Kan., to Doddridge P. Tinker and Grace F. (Chilcote) Tinker. She married Eugene Everett “Gene” McCroskey on April 17, 1938, in Fredonia, Kan. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2006.
She was a luncheon cook in Eugene Field and Westwood Schools for many years and later had childcare in her home until her retirement. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge Olive Branch No. 17, Isaac Walton League, Home Extension Clubs and the First Christian Church. To friends and family she was well known for her home cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one infant son, David McCroskey who died at birth; one special son, Ronald Simpson; two brothers; and two sisters.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
