Yost Sloan: Birth: 1850 Death: Feb. 23, 1881 in East Liverpool, Columbiana Co., OH, USA Hannah A .Yost, daughter of Elias and Kiziah Yost. Born in Short Creek Township, Harrison Co., OH Married William Sloan (son of Samuel and Mary J. [Henderson] Sloan of Harrisville, OH) on 03 Jan 1867 in Harrison Co., OH Mother of 7 children, 6 of whom perished with her in a tragic fire in East Liverpool OH. William and a daughter Kate escaped the fire. William brought the family remains back to Harrison Co. to be buried in Olive Branch Cemetery. He had a sister Amanda who I am trying to trace. Ages ago I found an IGI entry for a marriage of an Amanda Sloan and Wilmer Skeeles but have never been able to confirm if this was indeed my Amanda. I find Wilmer and Amanda [SKULL] in the 1880 census living next door to Samuel Moore Sloan, brother to William and Amanda so I am guessing this is my Amanda.
