Obituary
Goldie Kershner
St. Thomas - Goldie May (Pogue) Kershner, 82, of St. Thomas, PA passed away the morning of Saturday, November 6, 2021 in her home after a long battle with cancer. Born March 18, 1939 in Chambersburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. "Bud" and Sarah H. (Shannon) Pogue.
She was employed as a seamstress for the Stanley Company and Tracy's Fashion, Chambersburg for 16 years. Goldie was then employed for Pet Ritz Company, Chambersburg until her retirement. Following her retirement she worked at Walmart.
Goldie was a member and baptized at both Christian Missionary Alliance Church and the Open Door Church. She was also an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 612, St. Thomas. She enjoyed going to yard sales, watching cooking shows and collecting cookbooks. Goldie spent time every day listening to gospel music and watching gospel programs.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her foster parents who raised her, Alvin and Bertha Cosey; a grandson, Craig A. Kershner; and five siblings, Ina Shives, Wilma Bowermaster, Clarence "Jack" Evans, James Evans and Terry Pogue.
Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 11, 2021 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Pastor Dan McClintock officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service Thursday afternoon in the funeral home.
