RUTH BRANHAM OBITUARY
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ruth Toney Branham, 81, of Augusta, Ga., formerly of Aiken, S.C. and Charleston died, December 13, 2004, in Azales Land Nursing Home, Savannah, Ga., after a long illness.
Born in Comfort, W. Va., on March 19, 1923, she attended public schools in Boone County, Graduated from Sherman High School and attended Marshall University.
She taught elementary school for two years until she married Paul F. Branham in 1942.
She moved to Charleston, W.Va. and worked at Patterson, Belle and Crane. Living in Aiken, S.C. and Augusta, Ga. she worked at Dupont Savannah River Plant as a drafting illustrator for thirty-nine years.
She was a former member of Reed Memorial Presbyterian Church in Augusta. She was also a member of Aiken Country Club, where she enjoyed playing golf. She attended over 45 years of Master's Golf Tournaments. She was an avid Sports fan and was especially fond of the Atlanta Braves. She loved to play Bridge as well as Solitaire.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Orva Toney; husband, Paul Branham; brother, Charles L. Toney, Sr.
