Mike was born October 16, 1927 in El Paso, Texas to Emilio and Patrocina Garcia. He was raised with his 8 siblings Chila Regalado, Nellie Garcia Cedillos, Pete Garcia, Nena Navarro, Lupe, Antonia, Loli Carrasco and Robert Garcia. Mike relocated to Bakersfield, CA where he met the love of his life, Lillie May Perry and started a family. Mike joined the Navy in 1945 and left the Navy in 1947, from there he worked at a grain mill for many years. Mike later relocated with his family in Oxnard, CA were he worked and retired as a cement mason local 600. He helped build many of the structures throughout Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange and Santa Barbara County's. Mike was a devoted loving family man. Mike love spending time with his family.He loved giving back to his community and charities.He enjoyed spreading the word of Christ.He touched many hearts. Mike will be dearly missed by many. Mike is survived by his children Steve Garcia, Donna Barkas, James Garcia, Roy Garcia and Deborah Castanon. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:30pm on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 with a Rosary to begin at 7:00pm at the Garcia Mortuary Chapel, 629 South A Street in Oxnard.
