      Notes for LONNIE DAVIS COOPER:
My father was a soft-spoken man but he let you know that he was the boss.
He was a Coal-Miner and often, you would hear his children say 'I am proud to have that Coal Miner as my father'.
My husband 'Eddie' would say, 'If Lonnie Cooper can't do it, then it can't be done'.
Dad had the ability to fix/repair/build just about anything.

      Notes for DELLA FIELDS:
When my Grandparents divorced, mom, her siblings and mother came to Boone County, WV and lived with my Great Grandmother Narissa Adaline (Jones) Lanham. Mom married my dad when she was only 16 and they met when she was berry-picking near to White Oak and Dad came riding up on a horse.
Mom had no formal education because survival and not schooling was more important. Mom and her siblings milked cows to help supply food as they were paid with flour, sugar, etc. Her lack of education was never a detriment as she could read her Bible and had qualities on how to love and make meals fit for a King. Her home-canned vegetables from dad's garden were un-equaled. Her kitchen was always open and we always wondered if we would have enough food 'but' it seemed the more who came to eat, the more bountiful the supply. Mom was blessed with so much love and not just for her family but for anyone in need of 'special love' and that always included Cecil, Willie and Aunt Reany. She made our house a home and was loved and respected in the community. She was an absolute Christian and she often attended our small church in Coopertown 'alone' and she would tell us that she would pray and sing before returning home.
GOD WAS 'ALWAYS' IMPORTANT TO MOM AND FOR HER FAMILY
