      Know all men by these presents, that one, JACOB SCHWARTZ and MARY SCHWARTZ, his wife, of the County of Muskingum, in the State of Ohio, for and in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand Dollars, to us in hand paid by WASHINGTON ADAMSON, of the County of Perry, and State of Ohio, the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, have given, granted, bargained, sold, __ed, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell, aluie, convey and confirm unto the said WASHINGTON ADAMSON, his heirs and assigns forever, A certain tract or parcel of land situate in the County of Muskingum and State of Ohio

      Being the East half of the Southwest quarter of Section Nineteen, in the Township of 11, sw, of Range Thirteen, in the district of lands offered for sale at Zanesville Ohio, containing Seventy five acres and ninety-hundredthe of an acre. To have and to hold the said granted premises, with all the appurtenances and privileges to the same belonging, or in any wise appertaining to the said WASHINGTON ADAMSON, his heirs and assigns forever, to his own proper use, benefit and behof, as a good and indefanitte as sale in fee simple; and we, the said JACOB SCHWARTZ and MARY his wife, for ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, do convenant with the said WASHINGTON ADAMSON, his heirs and assigns, that before and until the sealing and delivery of these presents, we (was?) lawfully seized in fee of the above granted premises and appurtenances, that we have good right, full power, and lawful authority, to sell and convey the same to the said WASHINGTON ADAMSON; that the said premises are free from all incumbrance whatever, and that we do and will warrant and defend the same unto the said WASHINGTON ADAMSON, his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In witness wherof, we have hereunto set our hands and seal this Twenty first day of August A. D. 1865.

I, PETER KAISER, an acting Justice of the Peace, within and for the County aforesaid, do hereby certify, that on this Twenty first day of August, A.D. eighteen hundred and sixty five, before me personally appeared, JACOB SCHWARTZ and MARY SCHWARTZ his wife, granted in the foregoing deed, and acknowledged the signing and sealing Whereof to their voluntary act and deed. And the said MARY SCHWARTZ, being examined by me separately and apart from her said husband, and the contents of said deed having been hereby by me made known to her, the said, MARY SCHWARTZ, upon such separate examination , did declare that she did voluntarily sign, seal and acknowledge the said deed, and that she is still satisfied therewith, under my hand officially on the day aforesaid.
