      1. Francis M. Gillispie married Henretta C. Hughes.

      2. Henretta C. Hughes Gillispie's parents were RICHARD C. HUGHES (b. 1813 VA ,according to the Kanawaha Co., WV Census) (from marriages Kanawha) & MARTHA CHANDLER daughter of RICHARD CARTER CHANDLER & SARAH EADES. The CHANDLER family moved to Kanawha Co., WV from Albemarle Co., VA, in 1812.

      3. After MARTHA CHANDLER HUGHES died, her husband RICHARD C. HUGHES remarried in 1852 to ELIZ. M. ALLEN daughter of WILLIAM ALLEN who fought in the American Revolutionary War.

      4. WILLIAM ALLEN was born about 1749 Albemarle Co., VA (he was born in that portion of Abermarle Co. which was first a part of Amherst Co., and then was a part of Nelson Co.,) [From http://www.countyofamherst.com/ In 1761, Amherst County was formed from the southern half of Albemarle County. In 1807, Amherst County assumed its present proportions when Nelson County was formed from its northern half.]

      5. WILLIAM ALLEN died in Nelson Co., VA. After his death, WILLIAM ALLEN'S 2nd wife moved to Kanawha Co, WV with her children.
