Skeels, Joshua W.(1819-1914) & Catharine/Katharine Leggett (1827-1909)& Isaac Riley Henry (1840-1923) & Mary Ann Skeels (1846-1919)
Skeels, Joshua W.(1819-1914) & Catharine/Katharine Leggett (1827-1909)& Isaac Riley Henry (1840-1923) & Mary Ann Skeels (1846-1919)
Group photo came from Theresa Price Cerett who took this picture of an old photograph at the 2005 Crowl Reunion. The original photo was contained in a scrapbook compiled by Dawn Crowl Looman. Included in this #1 version of the possible Skeels Family Reunion photo are Wilmer Skeels and his unknown wife & Isaac Riley Henry & Mary Ann Skeels Henry. On the back was written “the 2nd couple is Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Skeels and the 3rd couple is Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Henry.” Robert M. Crowl who clarified the photo identification of J. W. Skeels first by noting that the man standing next to Mary Ann Skeels appears to be a contemporary rather than her father and secondly by noting that Wilmer’s (b. abt. 1849) name was probably J. (Joshua) Wilmer Skeels. Robert M. Crowl states that the name needs to be verified with a birth or death certificate. This picture was probably taken 1898-1902.

UPDATE: Donna Forney Clark: At this point (February 2013), I think that the second couple from the left in this photo are probably Joshua W. Skeels (1819-1914) & Catharine/Katharine Leggett Skeels (1827-1909). I believe also that the third couple from the left are Isaac Riley Henry (1840-1923) & Mary Ann Skeels Henry (1846-1914). This photo may have been taken 1898-1902. Mark Whaley has information that puts Wilmer (b. abt 1849) Skeels’ death at 1881 (Wilmer was Joshua and Catharine/Katharine Leggett Skeels’ son), therefore excluding the possibility that he is in this photo.

We would appreciate any help with corrections or other identifications of any person in this picture.
