John Joseph Cockerill received a quick claim on these 160 acres on March 12, 1887 for 1 dollar. Legally the property is known as the east half of the southwest quarter and west half of the southeast quarter, all in section one (1), Township (13), Range (10) in Sarpy, County, NE. (A section is one square mile, which is 640 acres.)
