    This Muster-Out Document comes from the Don Coatney Archives. W.C. Morgan enlisted in the 53rd Regiment of the Indiana Volunteers, March 1, 1862.
    W.C. Morgan was captured by the Rebels on July 22, 1864 and was released on parole February 27, 1865 and discharged out of the service June 14, 1865. Also from the Coatney Archives, via the National Archives, comes the following information:
    William Curtis Morgan died in 1868 of diseases he contacted while he was a prisoner of war at Andersonville POW camp in Georgia.

      You must get permission to enter Morgan Cemetery since it is located on private property. MORGAN CEMETERY, page 115, Franklin Twp. Cemeteries Located in NE 1/4, Section 33, T2N, R5E. (10.0 miles for the Courthouse) Directions: From the Courthouse, go south on South Main St. go 0.5 miles to the intersection of SR 60, turn left, go 1.3 miles to the intersection of SR 160, turn left, go 7.0 miles to the intersection of Franklin School Road, turn right, go 0.8 miles to the intersection of Conway Church Road, turn right, go 0.2 miles to a driveway at a residence. The Morgan Cemetery is located at the corner of a woods approximately 1/4 mile north of the residence.
