She was born Oct. 3, 1929, in Potosi, Mo., to the late Joseph Leslie and Mae Catherine Pratt Turntine. She was a housekeeper at Briar Cliff Nursing Home in Cahokia and had worked at Sunline Candy Factory in St. Louis. [SURVIVORS OMITTED] She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Theodore Vahey; and a son, Kevin Eugene Vahey. Funeral services were Feb. 7 at Dashner Funeral Home in Dupo with the Rev. Paul Wienhoff officiating. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
