This tintype was originally in a photo album owned by Mary Jane Gillispie Toney (1851-1907). We would appreciate any help identifying this individual. The family names most associated with this picture are Toney and Gillispie. Specific names associated with this picture are John Edward Toney (1851-1932) and Mary Jane Gillispie Toney (1851-1907) of the Poindexter Toney II (b. 1818) and Elizabeth Jarrett Toney (b. 1824) line. Tintype is of a woman sitting in front of a back-drop. Dating of this picture was done by Donna Forney Clark and David R. Clark, M.D.
